Abstinence (From Ann Rose's Ultimate Birth Control Links Page) Here's a fairly ineffective method of birth control that some people do well with, while many others become pregnant by. This link contains a list of competent abstinence information websites.
Adoption (Child Welfare Info Gateway) Are you pregnant and considering giving your baby to a loving family who is not able to have children of their own? This is from the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. There are many adoption-related links on this site.
Be aware that adoption resources and websites that contain the words "crisis pregnancy" or "choose life" often have a conservative religious bent. While they may appear to encourage adoption, many of their forums clearly advocate keeping your baby, or if you absolutely must give it up, placing it with a conservative religious family. If this mirrors your own beliefs, then these may be a helpful resource for you to explore.

History of Birth Control This resource, by Kathleen London, is on the history of birth control. Did you know that Infanticide, the killing of newborn babies, was the most universal solution to periodic overpopulation in pre-industrial societies? Or that in the 1870s, the New York Times estimated there were 200 full time abortionists in New York City and abortion safety was generally quite high?

Miscarriage Association "Miscarriage can be a very unhappy and frightening and lonely experience. If you have been affected by miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy, we hope you will find here the information and support that you need to help you through."
Natural Family Planning There are two forms or styles of natural methods, the NFP or natural family planning and FAM or fertility awareness methods. FAM encourages couples to use a backup method such as condoms or a diaphragm during unsafe periods, where NFP is more religiously based and anti-contraception. Either way, natural family planning should only be attempted by monogamous and very committed partners who have a total understanding of what's involved--and even then, it is anything but infallible. Toni Weschler's "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" 10th ed is considered to be the bible of NFP. Also be sure to get the accompanying software to help you do the best planning possible. And finally, if you are trying NFP and end up having intercourse during a less-than-optimal time, the man should pull out before coming and ejaculate on the side. This will offer you way more protection than doing nothing. However, some religious groups might consider it to be a form of masturbation, heaven forbid.
