Ever dream of flying your own airplane? Thanks to a program offered by 1600 flight schools across the US, you can take an introductory flight class for only $49.00 each. We're talking in a plane in the air with an actual instructor.

It's a good idea to visit the schools before you make a reservation. Ask what kind of insurance they have and what insurance you need. Ask about the lesson, how long it is and what you will learn. The instructor will be in the plane with you the entire time. Make reservations for both of you. Ask if you and your date can be in the plane with each other during the lessons.

If you don't have a school near you that is affiliated with the special discount program, call a local flight school and ask about their beginner lesson. Tell them you and your date would like to take an in-the-air flying lesson and see what they have to offer. For the first lesson, the price can range from free to $100.00 per person. Always check out the school before you take the lesson.
