'It Gets Better' for the Troops?
An excellent essay about suicides in the military in the LA Times by Alison Buckholtz, author of "Standing By: The Making of an American Military Family in a Time of War." Ms. Buckholtz states that just like the "It Gets Better" videos for members of the LGBT community, members of the military need reassurance that it gets better for them, too. (I might add, members of some of their families could use some encouragement as well.)
